Bridgehampton
Real Estate. Farmland to the North, Ocean to the South
About Bridgehampton
Bridgehampton has no village government at all; every decision runs through Southampton Town Hall, and its geography explains its prices better than any tax map. North of Montauk Highway, estates sit against Suffolk County–preserved farmland along Butter Lane and Mecox; south of it, Ocean Road runs down to the dunes and Sagg Main Beach. The Montauk Branch stops here, though the honest measure is the drive: two hours clear, far worse on a summer Friday. The scarcity is agricultural: the fields framing the best houses cannot be built on.

- Grievance Day falls in May
- In Suffolk the filing period runs from May 1 to the third Tuesday in May, which is Tuesday, May 18, 2027. The grievance is filed with the assessor in your own town rather than with the county, and the date does not move. Filing costs nothing, and the case is made with what comparable houses actually sold for.
Filing dates are set by statute and computed from the rule rather than quoted from a past year. Confirm the current date with the assessor before you rely on it.

The Bureau published no median gross rent for Bridgehampton. It withholds an estimate drawn from too small a sample, and a blank line is the honest way to carry that.
These figures describe the housing, not the people who live in it, and we publish them as the Bureau measured them without interpreting them. Its own profile for Bridgehampton CDP, New York carries considerably more.
